QuickBooks Online sync error: Accounts with detail type Opening Balance Equity cannot have sub-accounts.
Why the sync error occurs
This error occurs when a GL account in Cashflow360 is trying to sync to QuickBooks Online and has the account type equity, and also has a sub account associated with it.
How to fix the sync error
There are two options to resolve this issue:
- Change the account type from Equity to something else in Cashflow360
- Delete the account if this Chart of Account isn't needed and contact Customer Support to request that it be marked not to sync
