Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central: Invoices/Sales Invoices
To help best manage your accounts receivable, here are some things to know about the Sales Invoices workflow between Cashflow360 and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (MSDBC).
Sales invoices
- Invoices in Cashflow360 will sync to MSDBC as unposted sales invoices.
- Unpaid posted and unposted sales invoices in MSDBC will sync to Cashflow360 as invoices.
- The Invoice number of invoices in Cashflow360 will sync to MSDBC as the Reference No. The Reference No. of a sales invoice in MSDBC will sync to Cashflow360 as the invoice number.
- Once a sales invoice syncs between Cashflow360 and MSDBC, you can't edit the invoice in Cashflow360. Make edits in MSDBC, and those will sync to Cashflow360.
- Sales invoices with item charges, taxes, and discounts will only sync 1-way from MSDBC to Cashflow360.
- If you create a sales invoice in MSDBC with taxes applied, the percentages, tax codes, areas, items, and jurisdictions won't sync to Cashflow360, but the total tax amount will, as a separate line item.
- Best practice is to create and edit sales invoices in MSDBC.
- Edits to a sales invoice in MSDBC will not sync to the invoice in Cashflow360 if the invoice is paid or partially paid.
- If you delete/inactivate an invoice in Cashflow360, it will not sync to MSDBC if the sales invoice has been posted.
- If you delete a sales invoice in MSDBC, it will not sync to the invoice in Cashflow360 if the invoice is paid or partially paid.
- If the customer for the sales invoice is marked as Tax Liable in MSDBC, invoices you create for them in Cashflow360 won't sync to MSDBC. Create the sales invoice in MSDBC and let that sync to Cashflow360 instead.
- Multi-currency or $0 sales invoices in MSDBC will not sync to Cashflow360.
- If you use dimensions on a sales invoice in MSDBC or an invoice in Cashflow360, you also need to add those dimensions to the customer in MSDBC.
