QuickBooks Desktop sync error: Run-Time Error Installing QuickBooks Sync

Why the sync error occurs

This error occurs when there's trouble during an installation sync.

How to fix the sync error

To resolve the run-time error when attempting to sync with QuickBooks Desktop, try the following:

  1. Right click on the QuickBooks program icon
  2. Select the option Run as Administrator
  3. After QuickBooks opens, close the application

After opening QuickBooks as an Administrator, the runtime error will clear.
